Praneeth Agalawatte, The Drum Beat May Be Silent, but His Gentle Soul and Beautiful Smile Will Never Be Forgotten.
It is with profound sadness that I learned of the sudden passing of Praneeth Agalawatte, taken from us far too young and in the prime of his life.
I knew Praneeth as an amazingly talented drummer, a passionate lover of reptiles, and, above all, a remarkably gentle soul. His warm personality and wonderful smile could brighten any moment, and he will be deeply missed by everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
My deepest and most heartfelt condolences go out to his family, loved ones, and friends during this incredibly painful time.
May the many beautiful memories he leaves behind bring them strength and comfort, and may Praneeth be blessed with the Supreme Bliss of Nibbana.
Rest in peace, dear Praneeth. Gone far too soon, but never forgotten.

Passing of Praneeth Agalawatta Praneeth Agalawatte

I learned through my friend, Chandrarathna Bandara about the sudden passing of Mr. Praneeth Agalawatta, a young man who resided in Toronto, Canada.
When I first met Praneeth in Toronto in 2011, he was a young man in the prime of his youth. He was an exceptional individual who had earned the love and respect of the Sinhala community in Canada. Active, friendly, and deeply empathetic, he possessed a wide array of talent and skills.
On one occasion at the Toronto Maha Vihara, his dedication to saving the life of an elderly gentleman who suffered a heart attack was widely appreciated across the Canadian news media.
I do not yet know the cause of his sudden death. Praneeth’s passing is an irreplaceable loss to the Sinhala community in Canada and to all who knew him. I offer my deepest condolences to everyone grieving his loss
